Background and Education
Edwin Glasgow CBE, QC has extensive experience in commercial law, including international arbitration and mediation in many jurisdictions. In addition to his UK practice, he has been involved in commercial cases and dispute resolutions in Hong Kong, USA, Africa, France, Mauritius, New Zealand, South America, the Caribbean and Australia; professional negligence in Singapore, Italy and USA; and Human Rights cases in many jurisdictions including Malaysia, India and a number of African countries. He is also known for his public inquiry work, including the Bloody Sunday Inquiry.
With over 50 years experience in the law; more than 40 as a barrister; and 25 as a QC, Edwin Glasgow has served as a judge on several prestigious panels and lectured on law and advocacy around the world. Renowned for his advocacy and forensic skills, he now concentrates on his work as a popular and approachable arbitrator and is an outstanding mediator.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Linguists and speaks English, good French, and has a basic knowledge of a number of other languages.

He is an accredited mediator and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He was instrumental in establishing the SCMA training programme in asset recovery mediation under the Proceeds of Crime Act. He has had domestic and international appointments and is on the following panels:
